The Lipo Laser treatment uses the latest European Smart lipo laser technique to remove fat cells through minimally invasive surgery. In the past, the traditional option for fat removal was to undergo Liposuction under general anaesthesia with the associated risks and recovery times. Lipo laser avoids general anaesthesia, has significantly reduced recovery times and provides results comparable to liposuction.
This treatment is now available with gentle fat extraction. See results instantly! Please call 0121 445 6644 for details.
Lipo Laser is an advanced technique for removing excess fatty tissue from areas of the body that are resistant to dieting and exercise. The laser produces a thermal and mechanical effect that provokes the break-up of the membrane of the fat cells, transforming them into an oily emulsion which is then absorbed and eliminated by the body in a natural way. This technique is associated with significantly reduced blood loss and bruising post surgery, ensuring an easier, faster, and more comfortable recovery.

Method
Treatment is carried out in a sterile environment. The areas to be treated are marked with a special pencil and lines are traced outwards from one single point in which the local anaesthetic is injected.
In order to facilitate the insertion of the cannula, a small incision must be made with a micro-scalpel. A cannula is inserted into the incision and the laser is fed through the cannula under the skin. Treatment begins by slowly moving the laser along the lines traced on the skin and constantly maintaining the same speed of movement.
What is Lipo Laser?
It is the latest technological breakthrough in fat reduction. It is a technique that destroys fat deposits in specific areas of the body. By using a laser system which breaks down the membranes of the fat cells, the fats are eliminated by the body in a most natural way. It is a minimally invasive treatment which facilitates body modelling and its swift results give rise to a harmonious body shape.
How does it work?
It makes use of a laser that acts directly on the fat cells by destroying the membrane and releasing fat content of the cell. The laser pulses are released through a fibre-optic that is inserted through a thin cannula into the fat layer of the skin.
How long does a treatment take?
An average treatment takes one hour but this depends on the size of the area being treated. In some cases patients can even return to work after a lunchtime treatment!
Recovery period / After effects
Patients can return to their normal activities almost immediately, although it is advisable to avoid strenuous sports and avoid hot showers for 10 days, or intense massage for 4-5 weeks. Compared to other more invasive procedures, like liposuction, the after effects of bruising or swelling are significantly reduced. This is due to the therapeutic effects of the laser which coagulates the blood vessels immediately, thus reducing the trauma beneath the skin. Additionally, the low level laser energy helps to stimulate collagen production in the skin which results in a slight tightening of the skin.
How long does it last?
Fat cells are destroyed through the laser system and the fats are eliminated in a natural manner. Results are long term, giving rise to a harmonious silhouette.
It is important to note, however, that the treatment does not guarantee that one would not gain weight or accumulate fat deposits in other areas of the body. If one consumes more calories then one needs, then the body can store it elsewhere.
How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments needed much depends on the amount of fat to be removed, and the number of areas of the body to be treated. In many cases one treatment will achieve the desired effect.
If large amounts of fat are to be removed, a stepped program is advised to allow for gradual reshaping. Fat can be reduced in almost any part of the body.
What are its advantages over regular liposuction?
The patient will experience less pain and bruising after the treatment. It also helps to make the overlying skin contract better. Lipo laser is safer than traditional liposuction because there is less bleeding and no need for general anaesthesia. Recovery is also faster. It is also possible to treat areas usually unsuitable for traditional liposuction such as face, upper abdomen and knees.
